Sridhara Svami is a celebrated religious leader of the medieval India. His ideas are reflected in his great Sanskrit commentaries on the basic texts of the Bhagavata cult Bhagavadgita, Visnupurana and Bhagavatpurana. The author discusses the historical points in determining the time and location of Acarya Sridhara and his major ideas and doctrines of this revered religious leader on the Bhagavata cult as a whole (1) Ultimate Reality individual souls and the phenomenal world (2) the ways and (3) the nature of experience of this ultimate reality. The epilogue to the work evaluates the influence of Acarya Sridhara on the Subsequent schools and leaders of the religious cult that he represents.
Ananta Charan Sukla An eminent philosopher of art religion and language. He is a comparative literary scholar of international repute. Sukla ahs been visiting Prof. at the Institute of Aesthetics University of Uppsala (Sweden) Helsinki, Liverpool, Cardiff and Lampeter. He is the honorary member of the Loro group of studies in Comparative Aesthetics University of Siena (Italy). His numerous publication include the concept of imitation in Greek and Indian Aesthetics (1977) Art and Representation (2001) Art and Experience (2003), Art and Essence (2003).
